At just 19 years old, Frank stepped into the fire service with a passion for helping others and a bright future ahead of him.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn January 2026, Frank began experiencing severe back pain. What first seemed like something minor quickly became much more serious. After visiting urgent care, he was immediately sent to St. Joseph’s Hospital-North Emergency Room for further evaluation. There, after additional testing and consultation with a urologist, Frank was diagnosed with Stage 3 testicular cancer and underwent emergency surgery that same day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs Frank and his family began processing this life-changing diagnosis, help came from within the fire service family. With the support of Frank’s captain, Cody Compagni, and Cody’s wife, who works for Moffitt Cancer Center, Frank was connected with the specialists at Moffitt for follow-up care and treatment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnfortunately, Frank’s cancer had already spread to his lymph nodes, liver, and possibly his lungs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn March 2026, Frank began chemotherapy. His treatment plan includes one round every 21 days, with each round consisting of five consecutive days of multiple treatments. He is currently scheduled to complete this phase of treatment by the end of May 2026.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThrough it all, Frank has remained in good spirits. He is focused on healing, determined to beat this, and eager to return to doing what he loves — serving the community as a firefighter for Pasco County Fire Rescue.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis fundraiser is about standing beside Frank during one of the toughest battles of his life.
